Can anybody throw some light on this one,I started the car the other morning, warmed it up for a couple of minutes but then I left it running while I went and did something else,I went back to it after about five minutes but when I put my foot on the accelerator it farted and popped and sounded like a sick choked four cylinder so I switched it off and left it for about half an hour, when I restarted it it was running just fine,is this something that happens to Bimmers if you leave them on tickover for any length of time as could happen in our notorious UK traffic jams.
