Not directly applicable but ..... I replaced the complete exhaust system on the '02 with OEM Eberspracher. Excellent stock fit, well-made, not signficantly more expensive than other third-party exhaust systems, and should outlast the rest of the '02 bodywork.


Both the center muffler (resonator) & rear muffler are shot on mine, rotted out from the inside but no exterior holes, & causes alot of vibration, especially when idling at a stop or when first started up cold. I'm thinking of going oem (Ebershaecher?) & should last another 100k & 10 years, most likely will have sold the car by then. $250(US) installed sounds like a good price. You may want to have them check the resonator as well.
