Diesel would be slower of course but the 735i is slow to start with so who cares. The car is nice to drive and handles great in the city and highway but speed is only at the top end on the highway.

In an automatic in (S)port mode the engine only starts to become reponsive over the 3k range and that takes awhile to get to.

On the other hand a good engine with low milage will keep you in the BMW with the handling intact and many dollars in the pocket!


You think dieselwould be faster? we used to have a diesel and it sucked it has no get up and go and I hate driving it around town it's fine on the highway. I would keep it gas it's a lot faster than diesel.
