I recently activated my analog phone with Cingular (formerly Southwestern Bell Wireless). The cost was identical to thier digital rates with ALL plans available. I pay $40.00 for 200 minutes per month. However, I do not know what states they are in, I live in Austin, Texas. Check with your local Bell company.

Hey Bimmer Guys!! As you read in other posts, I just got a 740iL 1994. I will take it to the local BMW place to get the recall checked on the engine. I read an artical on what to get checked and talked with them. All ok!

My Question:

It has a phone inside and its connected to the stereo. When I turn it on, it comes on and when you dial numbers it sounds through the speakers so I am guessing it has hands free. I dialed a 1-800 number and ATT comes on and says stuff. Could I get it activate for cheap, just for emergencies?? I am GUESSING that you can dial 911 and get through even with out service. Its good to have just for that! Can you store speed dials or anything like that?? can you upgrade the phone??
