I am in Auckland, dealer is team McMillan who do specials for cars over 5 years old in terms of labour rates etc.

I spoke to the service manager who said the exhaust part was $680 retail, but would do the whole job for $600.

I had better get onto it!!!

The diagram and inspection show it as one part. went to Pit stop and they quoted me $1700 for the 2 rear mufflers + extra for fitting, so the $600 bit may be a mistake on BMW's part. Bugger, I should have booked it in there and then.....

Does the car vibrate? just about any car I get into these days, old or new has a smoother idle than mine. Also, the drone at idle gets really bad after a long trip.Once on the move it is not too bad, but not as smooth as some 4cyls i have been in .
