be glad there were no bumps - you'd have scraped the front off with a lifted read tow on one of these, I'd reckon. There is no front end damage to the front skirt etc I presume?

I just posted a request for information/suggestions yesterday on the coolant leak problem on my '90 750iL . I appreciate the helpful responses I received. Thank you.
But let me tell you what I discovered after my car was towed back to my house.
I requested a flat-bed tow-truck, but they didn't send one. Instead they towed the car from the rear end, hoisting it up by the rear wheels.
When I inspected my car afterwards, I found that they had angled the lift bar in such a way that the clearance between the rear end of my car and the lift bar was too close ---- they ended up crushing the fuel tank.

I will never have my car towed again on anything but a flat-bed tow-truck.
