Are you shure it is the fan clutch? Could only leak, a little is ok. If it is bad you should have silicone oil all over. Would check the aux fan also. Disconnect 2 stage switch on right side of radiator. With ingnition on or engine running
short wires (2 out of 3) and see if fan runs. You could also see first if fan turns freely. Take a long screwdriver or similar and turn through grill. BTW fan clutches are critical, have to be stored in operating position (says BMW) to avoid leaks. Good luck with repair. Ekkehart

I know my AUX. fan work OK.
But looks like I need that switch to turn it on.
