I have posed that same question to many BMW techs
and independant wrenches.
They claim the 3 and 5 series are fairly rock solid and possibily that is why they hold their
resale value compared to the 7-series.
Why the 7-series is such a monster, considering it is BMW's flagship, I haven't a clue.
I really enjoy my 91-750, however I must admit, I
to question why everything seems to go to hell at
100.000 miles when a Toyota or other cars can go
200-300.000 without major problems.
If there really an answer to these questions?
