Sounds like you've done it all. There is a site (below) with some good instruction on your problem. Maybe reading it will trigger something for you. Good Luck,

'88 750iL

Hello to all.

I've a problem with my OBC. My car is a very early September 1987 made 750iL. My OBC software is Version 2.0 3HP 3.4, and I can't get the correct language in my OBC and in the main instrument panel (above the oil service lights). When I change the language by pressing for 15 or 20 secs the right button the OBC changes also, but NOT in the same lang!!

The problem went two days ago when I was trying to reset the oil servie lights (with the usual method of shorting pins 7 and 19) I tried three or four times with no success. I thinked that the batteries in my OBC was down ( as almost everybody agrees). So I dismantled the main instrument cluster. Can't find any battery inside so I mounted back again, and (doesn't know why) I get som pins misplaced and doing som short. The OBC then marked "PPPP". I shut off the battery, the connected (this time correctly) the main instrument and get all running again, but.... the language in the OBC (nex to the glove box) is differebt than the lang in the Main cluster. I can change the lang and that change the OBC also, but ig I gat the messages in French in the main display then I get the mess in Italian in the OBC. If I get the mess in Spanish In the OBC (last in the language list, and the country where I live) then the mess in the main display is in German (first in the lang list)
The trick of changing the lang by means of the "TEST 11" in the OBC does not works in my car (It always says 0-LANG and couldn't change that )

Any ideas?
I can read the messages in English, french italian or Spanish, but... It worked properly until the bad contact...

Thanks in advance
