The advise below is all good.
I also found that unclipping the two diagnostic plugs in front of the master brake cyl gave me some more wiggle room. I also took the cover off and undid the positive battery connections in front of the heater valve assembly stuff (technical term) on the fire wall in the same area. You'll see what I mean. I really depends how well you contort.
BTW, I tried the bosch platinum plugs (single electrode, not the multitip) on mine and found that the motor idled rougher. I went back to the basic bosch copper recommended by the owners manual. This last change, I couldn't get the bosch plugs on a Saturday and went with NGK. they seem to work fine.
