I'm pretty sure that the counter does actually stop at 300000 or thereabouts, or so I've read, so changing the caps won't fix that one, sorry.

Hi All,

I own a '88 735iL European model, and lately i have some electrical problems in the dashboard, sometimes the display from the computer dims, and very strange the km-counter stopped at 299960 km , a number i've seen before on a used car, but i can't imagine every car stops at that setting.

Is there someone who can give me a hint or a link to find some solutions ?
