I have a Prelude 2.0SI (4WS) as my daily, so this car is a treat for me on weekends and nice Weekdays for the drive to work :-)

Have you checked the EML module itself (i.e. the computer that syncronizes the two ECM's)?
This is strange. The car is a 1990 750iL.
My EML light has been on for a few weeks. The engine is running on both cylinder banks with deeply reduced power. Maximum RPM is limited to about 3000. The top speed is about 40 MPH, or 50 if I have a long enough uninterrupted run.
All inputs to the EML look ok. I've checked them several times.
The strange thing is that if I disconnect one throttle (DK) harness (either one) there is no limit to RPM or power on that side. The car becomes a 6 cylinder 725, with a lot more power than with the limitation imposed by the EML with both throttles attached. I can do this by disconnecting EITHER throttle. Either side performs the same, with no power or RPM limitation.
Also, surprisingly, the engine starts up and idles fine with BOTH throttle harnesses disconnected, although nothing happens when you step on the gas pedal, of course.
As a side note, If the EML harness is disconnected from the EML, the EML light still comes on. From the wiring diagram, it looks like it has to be partially grounded by the EML (terminal 15) in order to come on. That terminal also supplies power to the EML (throught the EML light bulds) for retention of Error Code memory.
I can only get the EML light to turn off by removing fuse #20 or disconnecting the battery, and leaving it disconnected.
Fortunately, this evil automobile is just an extra hobby toy sitting around, and I can experiment with it without needing to drive it. Our other cars are all extremely reliable Japanese units that never need any attention (Avalon, Maxima, Accord).
Any ideas on this strange behavior would be appreciated.
