Wires on the M70 engine are generally not replaced but repaired. Use an Ohm meter to check each spark plug wire, if not in spec then replace the ends as follows:

Spark plug wire is cut at the top of the plug boot, which is really more of a small assembly rather than just a plug boot. Outer layer of spark plug wire is then peeled back and new metal clip is crimped onto inner layer of plug wire. The clip is fed into a new spark plug "boot" where it snaps into place. Spark plug "boots" sell for about $20 and the metal clips about $3 from the Dealer. With new spark plug ends your car should run better. You saved $375 and spent some of that on your lady, so now she's happy and you know when she's happy...you're happy.

Anyone know of a good place to get sparkplug wires from. I'm having difficulty convincing myself that $400+ for sparkplug wires is acceptable. Anyone tried to make their own wires using cut-to-fit wires?
