On mine you have to move the seat forward, then first remove the bolt that will be visible in the crack between the seat bottom and the rear of the door frame (bolts the seat frame to the floor), then pull forward, up and out. Oh, don't forget to unplug the wiring harness first. Then try several times to get it back in the way it came out.

If you have an L you must press a button at the center of the bottom cushion (next to carpet) in order to be able to yank up. Make sure seat is moved forward.
