Rich,
My mechanic did the shock when he serviced the tranny and fixed the oil leak I had. Unfortunately, he's a mechanic on one of the Porsche Race teams @Phoenix? this weekend and I didn't pick up the car until after he left.
Too bad about the GW, mine has rust, too. But I just love the versatility of the vehicle and will keep her until she dies. Then I'll probably rebuild her or find another one.

And where did you buy the shocks? Did you replace the accumulators and lines at the same time? I've read on the board at some point that it's hard as hell to take out the shocks without damaging the lines, so you just plan on replacing them as well. How much time did it take and how much pentosin did you need to replace?

I put my Gr. Wagoneer on ebay. I've had it for 6 years. Time to devote my efforts on another car. The GW had too much rust to really keep in tip top shape. All the snow and salt over 14 years got to it.

1. Changed the RR self leveling shock on my 88 750il. Now I have an intermittent knocking from that area. The self leveling systen never made that noise before, and seems to be working properly with no leaks. Any idea what this is?

2. Anyone know what causes the squeaking in my accelerator pedal? It's really irritating, so I just turn up the stereo.
