Cosmoline removal - it's a "blast" (archive)

Got my manifolds back from Extrude Hone Corp., and the inside passages are beautiful. But the outside was still drenched in baked on cosmoline. Solution? Give 'em a nice blasting with extremely fine grain sand.

In the first picture, the one on the left is what they both looked like before the blasting.

Here's what they both look like after being blasted. At this point, they can now be painted or powder coated, but I think I'll leave them as is. It's gonna be lookin' good under the hood real soon.
