Gale,

Glad you fixed your problem. Did you have to lift the engine to replace the mounts or just jack up the engine on the oil pan? Did you do one side at a time? Where did you find engine mounts for $36.00 a piece? Everywhere I have looked the mounts are around $90.00 each.

Alex

I've been plagued with a severe engine vibration in the cabin at idle, worst when stoped at a light with the a/c on. I suspected motor mounts & sure enough, that fixed it. Took about 20 minutes, both sides, a no-brainer. Mounts are about $36 ea. at your favorite mailorder supplier. Yes, they are liquid filled, the new ones even have "Bilstein" on the box. That explains why the left one was wet, I always thought it was a sloppy oil filter change by previous the owner. Here's a jpeg of a cutaway. Don't ask me why I do this sort of stuff, I guess just because it's there & ah needs to know. The upper & middle cavities are oil filled, the bottom cavity is vented to atmosphere.
