Couldn't find anything in the e32 or e34 archives, but found many in the e28 archives doing a search for: "temp sensor resistor". What it does is trick the DME into thinking the engine is colder & then increases the fuel mixture which gives you a smoother idle while warming up. I don't know what it does for the mixture at higher RPM's under load.

Have any of you heard of a fix using a resistor in line on the coolant sensor wire,if so what is the rating? Any help appreciated.
