Hi,

1) if there are good and bad ones than there is a difference. I have used OEM, some have been good some not. Have been quite pleased in general with ATE rotors and pads. Currently use Bosch rotors (don't know who really makes them for Bosch) and ATE pads. Work o.k. under all conditions.
2) no, different in size, diameter, have integrated drum for park brake

3) not really, although BMW says so. Rotors are cheap cast iron (the German spec is GG40 Grauguss)
4) Jurid, ATE, OEM BMW
5) better change the fluid than the hoses, unless they are bad
6) there is not much of a kit (rotors plus 1 6mm ? hex bolts for each side)
4 brake pads plus 1 sensor. The mounting hardware, depending on type of caliper can be reused
7) approx. 30k miles front, 50k miles rear
on a 750i with alot of high speed driving

BTW: have you ever doen these jobs (pads and/or rotors) ?
