Thanks...So which one do u use? You use the regular or special or super? You sure that's ok to use regular cause' yours is a 750IL and mine is the 735i?
Ron
The 91 you are reading in the manual is the RON (Research Octane Number)...this is not what you see at the pumps. The AKI (Anti-Knock Index) is what is presented at the pumps and therefore your engine only requires 87. The third octane rating is MON (Motor Octane Number). The MON represents severe, sustained high speed, high load driving conditions. The RON represents typical mild driving, without consistent heavy loads on the engine. AKI is derived from (RON+MON)/2.

Hey guys..just wondering what kinds of gas are u guys using on the E32 735i. I read the manual and it says it required 91 or higher. Is it ok to use the special which is 89 octane. Gas is expensive and I drive in NYC usually. My mileage/gal is around 15. Is it abnormal? Anyone can recommend which brand of gas should I use ? Thanks
