Title says it all - use as directed, YMMV. I've used the Wynns & STP stuff - most are probably similar, they are either detergents or surfectants, sometimes with a hydrocarbon solvent for varnish. Theoretically they wash out surface deposits, but I'd guess most do their work by getting the residual water out of the injector microfilters in the neck of each injector, and maybe cleaning the pintle-valve end at the business end of the injector for a better spray pattern... maybe.

I've also used an upper cylinder lubricant in my BMW EFI bikes and that's been OK too - seemed to make them a bit smoother, but that could just be a subjective view. (UCL is like a very low dose continuous use 2 stroke oil you add to the petrol).

Have fun.

Hi again,

Before I try using such products I wanted to ask your opinion on these. I have a bottle of chevron fuel injection
cleaning product that I need to apply into an almost empty fuel tank.

What I want to ask is whether such thing is recommended or would it create more problem or higher fuel consumption..

or damage anything...?
