Engine Block Heater? (archive)

Does anyone know if my 1992 750iL is likely to have an engine block heater hiding somewhere? One of my summer projects will be to install one if I can't find one already installed on the car. Temperatures where I live can get as low as -40 deg C or colder. So far I haven't found anything resembling a block heater. Many new cars sold in Canada now come standard with a block heater, making me think that there is a chance that there is a factory or dealer installed heater already in this car if I can find it.
