Car recently began running rough. Check engine light on. Codes read both o2 sensors. Both just replaced 6 mths ago.
Noticed smell of burning rubber day or two before problem
began. Mechanic feels it's a vacum leak and wants to replace
an intake seal kit (?). any ideas? Could a o2 connecter or o2 sensor lead have burn't through? If so, where would I start looking.
thanks
phil

My 93 740i. had both O2 sensors failure code.
The problem was leen mixture caused by failing fuel pump. I wished I had it replaced without checking and rechecking. It would cost me $ 300.-
instead of over $ 900.-
