We have a large powdercoat line where I work and, although I'm not directly involved with it and am certainly not an expert, I can tell you that it produces a nice finish. I had some steel suspension parts done and they came out great. Aluminum, especially large castings, might be a different story however. I know that we have had trouble with outgassing causing bubbles in the finish. I could also well imagine that it might take a LOT of heat to cure the PC on a large casting. Eastwood recommends an old electric oven for this purpose, but parts that won't fit in one (like an intake) would have to be heated some other way. Our industrial system uses propane fired heaters, so one of those (like the ones they sell at Northern) might work. Depending on the cure time and given the current price of propane, this could add considerable $$$ to the overall cost. Good luck!
