Wow, here goes...if you have the power rear seats. First remove lower seats. Pull down rear armrest to remove the upper center head cushion which is held on by a bolt directly beneath it. You will have to remove the plastic cap that covers the bolt(if it hasn't already been removed) Lift the center cushion up and out. Next remove the rear headrest...all you have to do is lift them up (they come straight up and out...just pull firmly). You will see a bolt that needs to be unscrewed near the rear center where you removed the headrest (look down inside the plastic surround...the bolts are screwed back underneath the rear parcel shelf) and there are two bolts also behind the center head cushion you removed earlier(8mm or 10mm). Once the screws are out lift up on the back seat cushion and pull forward. Do the same for both sides. If you need to remove the rear parcel shelf...there should be approx. 4 bolts that need to be unscrewed along the front side of the rear parcel shelf. Good luck.

Am about to do some changes to my 7, and I wonder if anyone has an idea of how to remove the seat backs (w/electrical headrests). The seatbottoms are easy enough. But I have to remove the whole seat to gain access for my works.

Also do I have to remove the HVAC to remove the center console?

Yes itīs for a serious stereo-project ;)
