Well at 75mph for me in a 730 big 6 is 2750rpm and
at 120mph is I think 4100 or 4200rpm.at 1600 rpm is 35mph to 40mph hope this helps

Hi,
I am just curious if anybody with the 730/735/740s would like to do a little test for me.
I am wondering at what RPM does your great BMWs work at the following speeds (IŽd guess all would be in 4th gear or O.D. if auto, and 5th if manual? But you can specify)
50mph (80km/h) = ? RPM
60mph (100km/h) = ? RPM
75mph (120km/h) = ? RPM
100mph (160km/h) = ? RPM
Ok, not all of you want to break the speedlimits so I am not encouraging to speeding here ;)
Just want to compare the V12s to the other ones, wondering if they work at the same low RPMs.
