The "double zone" valves are ONE assembly with two solenoids. The double vavles CAN be replaced, you just have to buy TWO single valve rebuild kits. The rebuild kits cost about $60.00/ea from the dealer and a new double vavle is about $150.00 from the dealer. Makes sense to buy a complete new valve due to the plastic becoming brittle with age.

BTW: If the dealer does not list a rebuild kit for the E32, then just buy two kits for the E28...it is the same valve design.

If you have climate control with the two separate zones, you'll need two. If not, just one. I was told that the double zone valve can not be rebuilt, while the single one can. Rebuild kit costs around $30.

Hey ...Just wondering if I need 2 valves or just 1. I heard different stories from everyone? So is it one or two for the 735i?
