Just spent two hours this weekend taking my entire rear seats out to get rid of that nasty self leveling system ('90 735il), and put in new Bilsteins and springs. I didnt know the seat head rests would pull out, but if you remove the lower center section, the power lines for the headrests disconnect behind it, and it will allow for the seat backs to swivel up high enough that you can reach the outermost hinge bolt from the bottom, if you have long arms. If the headrests will pull out (Ill try tonight) it will definately make them easier to get back in.
Am about to do some changes to my 7, and I wonder if anyone has an idea of how to remove the seat backs (w/electrical headrests). The seatbottoms are easy enough. But I have to remove the whole seat to gain access for my works. Also do I have to remove the HVAC to remove the center console?
Yes itīs for a serious stereo-project ;)
