I should have read all of Thomas's feedback before I posted. What Thomas did with the denatured alcohol accomplishes what I proposed. Knowing that the alcohol will cut the topcoat would certainly be a good reson not to use a chemical stripper. I have to read fast here at work so I don't always read thoroughly before posting feedback. thanks for your input Thomas. I plan to follow your process for refinishing wookwork.

What do you use to chemically strip the factory clear coating?
