Just finished fixing the rear left power window so thought I'd post a description of my problem:

Symptoms: window intermittent; discovered it worked only when door was open at least 6 inches, and worked with both center console and door switch

Fix: had to remove the door panel to access wiring lower front corner; the wires coming from the motor entered a taped-up harness. Removed the tape and discovered badly damaged wires (one cut completely) about 1 inch after motor wires entered harness! Must have been rubbing against sharp metal edge to do this kind of damage. I soldered, then covered with heat shrink and electrical tape (just to be extra careful), then used plastic harness covering (ie, like a hose with a slit up the side) to protect the wires from further damage. Just thought I'd post this in case anyone else runs into the same problem.
