Sorry to hear about your problem. One possible reason for a premature capacitor failure is reverse polarity, i.e. putting one in the wrong way round. My advice is to take the cluster out again and check your work for that as well as bad connections or dry solder joints. Believe me, changing the caps SHOULD fix the gauge problem.

Help please.
I read up on the capacitor fixes (Harvey) and did the work, replacing the five capacitors with new ones. the dash worked for a couple days then all guages and tach quit again just as before. Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.
