If you have an engine that is old and very worn then synthetic oil - being much more penetrating than organic goo - can "cause" leaks, in other words will go through holes that your old oil wasn't capable of doing.
Also if one has used very poor quality nonsynthetic oil for several years and all the sudden changes to fully synthetic, it is possible that some stuff that has accumulated during the years can start moving and in the worst scenario block something up.
Yet I have taken to using best fully synthetic oils (Mobil 1 Rally Formula, Shell Helix Ultra, Castrol something) manufactured every time I've bought a car despite it having been ran only on non-synthetic cheap s**t and have never had any problems with leaks OR "stuff moving inside". I can't imagine why 750 V-12 would require using inferior oil either unless the dealer is worried about traces of fossiles starting to move thanks to years of inferior oil usage.
The modern good oils have a tendency to "flush" the system and I suppose if you speant 20 years driving on the cheapest oil in the market and changed it every 25,000 km you might run into problems.

Just had the oil changed to Mobil 1 Rally Formula
and had no problems.
ps: I used to work for Shell so I damn well know what I'm talking about
