my 1988 735i with 241,ooo miles has a production date of 02/87. that makes it 14 yrs old. this car still runs great. i change the oil every 3k miles and it does not burn one single drop. you can still see the dipstick through the oil when i change it. the only major thing this car has had was the tranny replaced. i do not doubt that this car has another 100k miles in it. but i think i'll try for and even half million!!!
