I had my wheels balanced on a Hunter machine after not having good results with other shops. I went to their website and found the machines close to where I live. I called all the places in town that had a Hunter...the highest was $15 per wheel and the lowest was $7.50 per wheel...needless to say who got my business! I guess it's the "road force" bar on the machine that really helps find irregularities and where the weights need to be placed on the wheel.

I had the 735i front wheels balanced on the Hunter and they found a bent front wheel. Yes the BMW aftermarket wheel costing $465 ea. They did a great job balancing the wheels and it took the shimmy 99% out. I think I'll put one of the rear wheels on the Hunter change it out with the bent one on front. I'm guessing the previous owner hit a pothole since I've only had this car 4 months and its had this problem ever since. The place thaat did the work charge the same as a normal balance job but you had to ask for the work to be done on the Hunter othewise they used the conventional spin balancer.
