For advising me to ignore Bentlys manual regarding removal of the microfilter and take "Gale's" advice. After much reading of Bentley and part stripping down and not finding what I was looking for I began to assume I did not have a microfilter after all. Steve directed me to Gale's web information and lo and behold I ended up with a very dirty mirocrofilter in my hand. Is it only on right hand drive versions that the microfilter is in two halves to allow it to slide past the steering column?
My thanks to Steve for his advice and also to Gale for a beautifully described method of renewing the microfilter.
