740 Engine Scare.. What the hey? (archive)

People,
I am looking for a nice low milage 740i and I came across an add that said 'make sure the engine has been replaced', I confirmed this notion with a mercedes buddy, but as always he, 'had no info' to describe the problem, signs of ailing health yaddie yaddie.. I appreciate your time in advance!
