and what was the cost? My ellipsoids are pretty sandblasted and I'd like to buy new ones, but the $100plus price and the $300 to $500 monthly repair bills have kept it down on the priority list.
Thanks,
Lin Gilbert

Lin,

I don't know the prices of the lenses. I only bought the glasses. They were about $ 40 each. That were original Hella glasses. Mostely the lenses aren't damaged, it's only the glas that has been "sanded". On my car it was a world of difference concerning the light on the road. I could advise every one to replace them after a period of time.

Hope you have something with this information...

Is 750IL headlight lenses sealed or non-sealed? I am trying to replace the lens and need to know.
Thanks.

Adrian,

I've recently changed the glasses on my '90 730i and I discovered that the headlight are divided, so you can change only the part that is faulty. It divided in: - The glas
- The Lens
- The reflector

So you can just change the lens. You only have to take the complete unit out of the car. You can do it easily by pinching the plastic caps on the adjustorscrews.

Good luck..

Ben
