Yours is a good post, but the seat removal, heating, etc. is way too much overkill. The whole job can be done in 30 minutes with the splice method. By sheer coincidence I stumbled across the service bulletin yesterday in which BMW advises using the same method. I guess either one will work, but I always opt for the lazy way out. Gives me more time behind the wheel.
