Adding any oil additive package will upset the exceptional chemical package that is already in the oil that you are using. Normally you only want to add a chemical additive when you can not maintain a vehicle with consistent oil changes (people that don't change their oil, but add, would be the market for oil additives). If you follow the severe duty schedule of changing the oil every 3K, you should be just fine. If anything, you may want spend the money on a quality Synthetic oil.

the story on these past scams has been out for a while. Don't do it!!

Has anybody used aftermarket engine treatment (such as slick50, Prolong) that seems working for Bimmer E32 12cyl engine? I have looked to get some but every treatment is specified for max 8cyl. Thanks much!!
