Thomas,
My 91 750iL consumes 3.0 l/h at 87F in N and 3.6 l/h in D. Voltage on one of the O2 sensors varies between 0.2 and 0.8 V, while the other (slowly) between 0.4 and 0.6V. The car just failed emmisions. I also cheked ECT inputs on both DME's (pin 78). While warming their reading deviate ( 0.96 and 0.91 V respectively at fully warmed engine). Is this normal and what could be causing rich condition? MAF was replaced last year, o2 sensor codes sometimes appear. Thanks for the advice,
Vytas

Hey Henry J,

Hopefully the engine was in neutral when you took the test. From the Data that everyong submitted, corrected for temperature, the V12 seems to use 2.5 to 2.8 l / hr. I don't know at what rate you will fail the emissions test or if both O2's are bad. I don't think that both O2 sensors fail at the same time, but by the time you identify a problem, both may be bad.

P.S. Axel drives a Toyota Camry & has never owned a BMW.
