Axel,

I appreciate the fact that you were inundated with responses and that you were forced to act on the defensive. Yet, you have to realize that you are putting yourself in a very "public" position where you can expect to receive a great deal of feedback, both positive and negative. It's all part of the game. Filtering out the the useful from the useless and figuring out friend from foe is also part of the game.

I'm quite certain that if I ever won the lottery (especially if I won $140M), I would never tell anyone. However, you can be certain that if I had won this recent jackpot, I probably would be too pre-occupied to pay attention to this forum.

You really want a new 750?

Jason Ferguson

Maybe you could cut me a little slack- I've just had 70 posts in the last 24 hours, the majority of them rather unhelpful and unfriendly, and everything is a little blurry at the moment. And I did just refresh myself with your original commentary from a couple months ago. Of course I wasn't referring to your remarks when I said, "unfair, immature, or inane" posts, but you have to admit, there have been quite a few in response to my recent post. On the contrary, your posts have been remarkable and I couldn't believe yours from last April, which was the first to go on its own page. For those of you who want to see an intelligent analysis, look at http://my750.com/jason.htm

In answer to your dealer question- I hadn't brought my car in since January, five months ago. I only brought it in recently to the same place because it was after Midnight and I didn't want to tow the car around town the next day while I figured out the best way to get it repaired. I didn't have much choice with this one because the car was immobile. So yes, on this one occasion I did bring it back.

By the way, I know my mechanics by name and have met and talked with them, speaking of which, my name IS Axel. (no, not Axl Rose- which is how he spells it and probably isn't really his name)

And these recent 70 posts are not the only feedback I'm handling- I have email coming in regularly and I respond to them all and add them to my website comments pages. I have also posted on other boards, like the local Club board. Add them all together, and I'm dealing with hundreds of comments going back & forth about my car. And I'm just one guy, with one car.

The California Lottery just had a single winning $140 million ticket, from San Jose. That wouldn't be you, would it? Can I have a new 750, Uncle Jason?
