I have personally not gone that route. I removed the changer altogether and now have a much more useful trunk that is capable of carrying bulkier items.

This makes me feel better (having gradually 'graduated' from an 86 SAAB 9000t hatchback (215k mi) that can haul real furniture and keep up with slow Porsches to boot (even at its advanced age and mileage).
