I have messed with these steering wheels a bit, and there is a little shim in there with a notch on it that will click if the wheel is not tightened down good. My first idea would be to tighten the center nut, and then check that shim for damage. But ya gotta remove that airbag first, 2 torx wrench screws on the back. And disconnect the battery!
