Test one was the stock 740iL (no LSD).
Test two added the Dinan Chip.
This third test was performed following the changeout of my 2.93 differential to a 3.73 AND the addition of limited slip with a 50% lockup. This addition really helps in the quarter mile and in the 20mph to 100mph range. Acceleration out of curves with the 50% lockup is great and ASC will not have to throttle back the car nearly as frequently during hard cornering. The car now accelerates well in Drive without having to drop back to 4th. At 75mph, the car is still less than 3000 rpm. The car is still not as fast off the line as I would like. I think it will take replacement of the torque converter with a unit set at the higher rpm (2650 vs. 1950) as advertised by Dinan to remedy this problem. The shorter differential ratio does appear to allow more gear whine during cruising speed, but it is not at all an annoyance. I can't wait to try out the LSD in the snow.
My next addition this year will be the Dinan free-flow exhaust and I'll rerun the tests.
If I were to lock the brakes and get the revs up before launching, I think I would be seeing 6.8 second times 0-60; not bad for this size car. This can't be good for the car however, so I'm not going to try it.
