Both have driver and passenger air bag, telescopic steering wheels, Tilt steering wheels up and down, and you can swap the steering wheels from LHD to RHD in about 3 minutes, because of twin instrument gauge packages, pedal sets, etc. Very nice feature. Just last night I was coming home and my LHD body parts were sore from the long drive so I swapped me and wife and off we go on RHD. I should have waited until the 93 year when you could drive from the back seat. hehehe

It's possible that '91 was the first year with this option. I know it was definitely not available on the '88-'90 models -- and somebody better not prove me wrong on that.

scoping steering wheel. (by releasing lever at base of steering column and pulling outward or pushing inward)...so go figure. My bro-in-laws 92 735iL has airbag and telescoping column as well.
