The switches are in the striker plates on the body - the parts that the locks lock on to. Have a look - there are the little black plungers/arms in the holes.

Removal is to remove the striker plate... I used a fully charged electric driver drill and managed to get the Torx screws out - they're big but my driver drill bit set had the right head (and the 6mm shafts fitted into the socket set for tightening too).

Be careful with alignment on replacement; would pay to mark the exact placement of everything before you un-do; also the screws go into a floating nut-plate inside the door pillar, so be careful you don't lose this inside the pillar (it dis stay witin long-pliers grabbing range for me, hanging around the switch wires).

Take is SLOW, reassemble carefully & a bit at a time - I did mine too hard, too quick & too off-centre & jammed the lock on the striker; luckily I had the door inside trim off anyway...

Good luck

Max

Occassionally, like when moving forward from a stop, the "door open" warning will come on and stay on, going off if I turn or stop, but coming on again when moving. I have checked the doors, and they are closed. Think it must be a lose wire or bad switch. Does anyone know where the switches are located in the doors? The Bentley manual doesn't seem to cover this (or at least I couldn't find it)
Thanks,

John
