Sorry, didn't read the last line of your original post. Just an idea, have you tried disconnecting the Servotronic to see if the problem changes?

I do not think it is servotronic related. I mentioned replacing module two months ago to let people know that I do not suspect the Servotronic as the cause of the problems. The feel is much different from when the Servotronic system failed.

Are you sure that the problem is the servotronic? The reason I ask is that last weekend I disconnected the electrical connector on the steering box in an attempt to diagnose loose steering. With the electrical connector removed, the servotronic is effectively disabled. The steering wheel was a little harder to turn at low speeds but not significantly. If your steering effort is substantially greater, it may be the power steering pump. Without the power steering, turning effort will be much greater. However, I can't explain why the problem only occurs on left hand turns.

'88 750iL: All of a sudden, I have no power steering to the left only. Turning wheel to the right and all is normal. I have replaced the servotronic module to the new style about two months ago. My wife has said this has happened to her before, so I expect the steering to be normal in the morning. Anyone have any ideas?

The steering is VERY heavy, no like when the servotronic module failed. More like ZERO assist to the left.
