Check for water leaks somewhere. I recently found that my sunroof drain was blocked, and would make my passenger side footwell sopping wet after a heavy rain. A moist environment makes for mold and mildew. I can't say that I've ever had it on the leather, though.


After not having driven in several weeks I came out to find my poor car (1989 750iL) had developed a case of mold. Mold growing on the leather interior everywhere. I took out everything and cleaned it with leather cleaner and put it back. Now I am afraid it will come back. Any thoughts? Any similar experiences? Thanks.
