Battery is under the passenger rear seat. If you do a search of the archives you will find info on how to remove the seat. dealer price on a new alternator was quoted to me at $950.00 last year my extended warranty fixed it. yours sounds more like bad battery if your alternator was not putting out your car would not have run with the battery dead.
