Arriving home yesterday I came to a dark and phoneless house. Lightning had struck into the phonesystem over a week ago and killed my telecom-equipment. A couple of hours of rewiring and using old bits´n´pieces I was back on the air with outgoing line and the powercompany fixed the power which had gone the same day due to another lightning strike. Yay!

But my vacation was excellent. Driven over 7500km in a month (a little under 5000 miles). Ran fine, starts fine, stops fine. Average consumption 1.16 liters pr. 10 km. Final strech of 150 miles was done with a 27.2MPG/1.02 liter pr.10km comsumption at a steady 80-90km/h (50-55mph). Seems to run cheapest between those speeds.

Saw about 5 E32s throughout Sweden. One black way up north by Vitangi, a couple between Töre and Sundsvall, and a few in the south. So if you saw a Kashmir Beige 750iL in the opposite direction during tuesday through saturday, it was me ;) (in a another Swedish E32).

One Y-vacuum joint was found broken off. I had out both windowcleaner tanks to fix a stuck valve between them and just happened to see the two return fuel/vacuum lines from the DKs had snapped of the common line into the big round cylinder under the main cleaner tank. This made the car make a knocking sound when heated up. The two valves open/close at a ratio when the engine is heated up allowing vacuum or something to escape. No fuel smell though.

Also spoted my oil leak. A leaking crankcase gasket on the right bank at the rear drops a few drops of oil that sometimes hit the exhaust making a cloud of smoke :)

And I fixed my centerconsole woodpanel. Also made a new gearlever strip of thin plastic with fabric covering. Pictures will follow on my website. Gonna upload some of the new transmission articles I wrote on holiday. Thanks to Henkka for assistance.

Tomorrow I´m gonna get my DK-seals and new VCVs and get an appointment to change the trans speed sensor.

It´s good to be back!!
